Wild camping

We have at least eight pitches each in excess of 10m x 10m in size dotted about the farm. Some locations are pictured below. They are all reasonably level and afford some shade. Some are near water so families with children may want to carefully consider which pitches are for them and discuss this with us before arrival. Parking can be beside your tent but because by their nature the pitches are 'wild' we cannot always guarantee vehicular access to your pitch and would only recommend this option if you have an off-road vehicle. We will always find somewhere suitable for your vehicle as close to the pitch as possible or you may leave your vehicle on the farmyard if you prefer. Please note in severely inclement weather it may not be possible to drive all the way even in an off-road vehicle. We can provide large barrows to move equipment where required or we are usually around to transport it in a truck.

We can fill water containers for you and drop them off to your wild pitch, and we have places to empty chemical toilets. Toilets and showers along with washing up facilities are on the farmyard if required, and water containers can be filled there. Please bring a good torch to help find your way. There is a barbeque and seating area for your use as well as a firepit at the main (lakeside) site, we can provide fire and barbeque supplies for a small charge if required. You may barbeque and have raised fires on your pitch, but you must be aware of where you are and what is around you, and if it is dry or you are near our crops this may not be possible.
